Madeleine Ludlow
Managing Director
Madeleine is a financial and managerial executive with over 30 years experience in investment banking, corporate finance, business development, and senior management. Ms. Ludlow has co-founded two companies, served as chief executive of a high-growth start-up, served as a senior officer of a Fortune 200 company and has vast experience in investment banking. During her career, she has been actively involved in numerous M&A transactions and private placements, serving as principal and as agent.
Prior to co-founding Market Capital Partners, Madeleine was the Founder and Principal of LudlowWard Capital Partners, providing M&A, capital raising and corporate finance advisory services to middle-market companies. Prior to that, she served as the Chairman and CEO of Cadence Networks, Inc., a privately-held, venture-backed energy management company, leading several capital raises, the company’s first acquisition, and the company’s cash flow positive transformation. Prior to joining Cadence, Madeleine was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cinergy Corp, a publicly-traded utility in Cincinnati later acquired by Duke Energy. She also served as Vice President of Enterprise Corporate Development at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) and spent nine years as a Principal in the investment banking department of Morgan Stanley.
Madeleine holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden
School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. She
currently serves on the Board of ALLETE, Inc. (NYSE: ALE) where
she is Chairman of the Executive Compensation Committee. She is
a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Darden Foundation
at the University of Virginia and the Board of Trustees of Cincinnati
Country Day School. Additionally, Ms. Ludlow has served on the Boards
of Oglebay Norton, Hennegan Company, Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity
and YWCA of Cincinnati.

Anthony P. Crisalli
Managing Director
Tony is an entrepreneurial executive with a proven track record of building and managing high-growth businesses. Mr. Crisalli brings over 25 years experience in sales, sales management, marketing, new product development and introduction, and financial and strategic planning. In addition to extensive capital markets experience, Tony has held senior executive positions at large corporations, domestically and internationally, and at early-stage and emerging companies.
Prior to co-founding Market Capital Partners, Tony was a Co-Founder and Principal of MarketAccess Group, which provided management consulting, capital raising, and outsourced executive services to the seed and early-stage marketplace. Before launching MarketAccess Group, he served as the Principal of Crisat Investment Co., which invested in and provided management consulting for early-stage companies, as well as delivered comprehensive financial risk management advisory services to middle-market corporations and financial institutions. Prior to Crisat, Tony started his entrepreneurial career as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BizNum, where he led the company’s successful initial $2M capital raising efforts. In addition to his entrepreneurial roles, Tony has also held several key managerial positions within key business units of global financial institutions. He was formerly Senior Vice-President, Head of Corporate Banking at National City Corporation and Senior Managing Director of Derivative Products and New Product Development at The Toronto Dominion Bank.
Tony holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Babson College Olin Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Marketing from Fairfield University. He has also completed executive training at the Yale School of Management. Additionally, Mr. Crisalli has served on the Board of Directors of the following early-stage companies: BizNum, Manager Link, Big Shot Performance, BDC Management and USGC.
William B. Haggerty
Managing Director
Bill has over 30 years experience in investment banking, business
development, and senior management. He is the co-founder of three
companies and has been responsible for managing several high-growth
businesses within a Fortune 500 corporation. During his 25 years
as an investment banker, Mr. Haggerty was actively involved in numerous
M&A transactions and private placements with aggregate transaction
values in excess of $2B. In addition to serving as a Managing Director
at Market Capital Partners, Bill is currently a Senior Adviser to
China Centric Associates, a firm with offices in China and the US
that helps companies develop and execute business strategies for
China.
Prior to co-founding Market Capital Partners, Bill was a Co-Founder and Principal of MarketAccess Group, which provided management consulting, capital raising, and outsourced executive services to the seed and early-stage marketplace. Before founding MarketAccess Group, Bill was Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking with NatCity Investments, Inc., the investment banking subsidiary of National City Corporation. Bill managed the corporate finance group and oversaw the growth and development of the derivatives group for over six years. Prior to joining NatCity, he was Senior Managing Director with the investment bank of Raffensburger Hughes, Inc. (sold to NatCity) and was a founder and partner with Reserve Capital Group, a Cleveland-based investment bank (sold to Raffensburger). Bill also spent 10 years as an investment banker with Prescott Ball & Turben, Inc., where he led the firm’s corporate finance group.
Bill holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a B.S. in Marketing from Boston College. Mr. Haggerty is a Director of Vermont Country Foods as well as a former member of the Board of Trustees for Beaumont School, former Director of The Pratt & Whitney Machine Tool Company and past President of the Bankers Association of Corporate Finance.
Glenn C. Harbold
Director
Glenn is a seasoned entrepreneurial executive with a technical background and over 15 years of experience in bringing a hands-on, executable approach to start-up companies and new ventures. As a leader of two early-stage technology companies, Mr. Harbold laid the foundation for creating high-growth, sustainable businesses. Glenn specializes in financial management and planning, industrial and web marketing, project management, and business and product development. He also has experience in fundraising from both public and private sources including angel investments and venture capital.
Prior to co-founding Market Capital Partners, Glenn was VP of Operations and Finance for GasTran Systems, a start-up commercializing new industrial technologies in the water and wastewater treatment and chemical process markets. Prior to that, he served in an analytical marketing role at Progressive Insurance and held senior finance and business development positions at Intel Corporation and Trivium Technologies, a technology start-up. Glenn started his career working for a supplier of steel flow control equipment and related technologies to the steel industry, where he held positions in project engineering and sales and service management.
Glenn holds an M.B.A. from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.
Kevin J. O'Hare
Associate
Kevin brings over five years of business experience in financial services and corporate and start-up strategy development. He specializes in performing investment due diligence, conducting market research and analysis, developing financial models, and preparing offering materials.
Prior to joining Market Capital Partners, Kevin was an Associate at Enlight Advisors, a boutique management consulting firm, where he assisted in the development of growth strategies for middle-market and early-stage growth companies. He began his career as a Financial Consultant at A.G. Edwards & Sons managing investment portfolios for individual investors, institutions and businesses.
Kevin graduated cum laude from Xavier University with a B.S.B.A.
in Finance and Information Systems. Mr. O’Hare is the President
and Board Chair of Cleveland Connexion and is also an alumnus of
the Cleveland Bridge Builders leadership development program.

David Schwartz
Managing Director
David Schwartz is a financial executive with over 25 years of capital markets experience in structuring, trading and originating transactions for large and medium‐sized U.S. and foreign enterprises. In addition to serving as a Managing Director at Market Capital Partners, Mr. Schwartz is currently a Managing Member at Sugar Hill Capital Partners, a New York City-based real estate investment firm.
Before co-founding Market Capital Partners and leading Sugar Hill Capital Partners, David was an Executive Director at RBS Greenwich, where he ran structured product origination. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Dresdner Bank in New York, where he led the structured products marketing and origination team responsible for alternative asset securitizations. David was formerly a Vice President at Chase Securities, where he led a Product Specialist team that provided credit and funding solutions using CDO and securitization technology to domestic and foreign banks. Before joining Chase, he spent several years in Asia working with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore and National Westminster Bank in Tokyo, successfully building highly-profitable structuring and derivatives businesses. He began his career with Chemical Bank in 1984.
David holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business
at New York University and a B.A. in Economics from George Washington
University. Mr. Schwartz is currently on the Board of Advisors of
Entaire Global Companies, which provides leveraged retirement programs
to middle-market companies.

J. Gregg Whittaker
Managing Director
J. Gregg Whittaker, Ph.D. uniquely brings together an intensive academic background in finance and economics with over 25 years of professional experience in capital markets, investment banking, and start-up management.
Prior to co-founding Market Capital Partners, Gregg founded and served as the Managing Member of The Whittaker Group, a business advisory firm specializing in financial management, business development, branding and value creation for start-up companies. Prior to founding the Whittaker Group, Gregg worked on Wall Street for ten years, spending the last five as a Managing Director and the Global Head of Credit Derivatives for Chase Securities, Inc. (now JPMorgan Chase). Gregg originally joined Chase to head their start-up Credit Derivatives Group, with responsibility for strategic planning, implementation and management, including new product design, development, and marketing. During his tenure, Gregg pioneered innovations in synthetic asset securitization, structured notes and off-balance sheet funding. As a result, his team was rated by clients and peers as the top Credit Derivatives Group in the world for two years running in 1997 and 1998.
Gregg is a co-founder and the former Vice Chairman of Primus Guaranty, Ltd., a first-of-its-kind financial services company that successfully raised $155M in private equity funding. Primus (NYSE: PRS) is now a publicly-traded manager of corporate credit assets and provider of credit protection with offices in New York and London.
Gregg received his Ph.D. and M.S. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; his Ph.D. dissertation was the first treatise of its kind to combine options pricing theory with the valuation of financial swaps. He also holds a B.S. in economics from Colorado State University. Gregg is currently on the board of directors of Pony Express Bank and Adorn Ventures, Inc., on the advisory board of the Liberty Hospital Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Whittaker shares his professional and academic expertise as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration and Economics at William Jewell College.
